Count It All Joy

Help children discover how God uses both joyful and difficult experiences to grow their faith in this beautifully illustrated Christian picture book from bestselling author Melissa B. Kruger.

Children often ask big questions:

Why do hard things happen?

Why does God allow suffering?

Can I trust God when life feels difficult?

Inspired by James 1:2–4, Count It All Joy offers a biblically faithful and hope-filled answer that children can understand. Through engaging rhyming text and meaningful illustrations, young readers learn that God is always at work―even in life's challenges―using every experience to help them grow stronger in faith and become more like Jesus.

Children will discover:

How God uses both happy and hard moments for His good purposes
Why they can trust God even when life feels confusing
What it means to "count it all joy"
How faith grows through challenges and trials
That God is always present, loving, and at work
Biblical encouragement for difficult seasons

Rather than offering easy answers, Count It All Joy gently helps children understand that God's plans are always good, even when circumstances are hard. Through relatable examples of everyday triumphs and struggles, kids learn that God is shaping their character, strengthening their faith, and drawing them closer to Him.

The book also includes a helpful Parent's Guide with discussion questions and practical tools to help families talk about suffering, faith, perseverance, and trusting God together.

Perfect for family read-alouds, bedtime reading, Christian schools, homeschool families, church libraries, Sunday school classrooms, and discipleship conversations, Count It All Joy helps children build a biblical foundation for facing life's challenges with hope and confidence.

Whether you're looking for a Christian picture book about trusting God, a resource for discussing difficult circumstances, a faith-building story for children, or a meaningful Christian gift, Count It All Joy offers gospel-centered encouragement that children and parents will return to again and again.

Help your child discover the joy of trusting God's goodness through every season of life.
