Renee Foster left her toddler son with her mother-in-law, cleaned out the joint bank account – and vanished. Now her husband wants Oakland private investigator Jeri Howard to find his wife, though it looks like she doesn’t want to be found.

A simple missing persons case? There’s nothing simple about it. People aren’t who they seem. The past comes back with a vengeance. And the trail leads to murder.
