John Drayven and the Altered Experiments

They’re watching you right now. A super-secret society called The Faction is spying on you through your phone, email, and texts. But they’re not looking for you, at least not yet. They’re looking for Altered people, like me.
See, my friend and I rescued the class bully from a museum fire, nearly died, and a scientist injected me with a serum that changes people. It makes you more of what you are. Some people become stronger. Others smarter. There are even a few who can see dead people, or the future. I’m not going to lie. At first, I thought the abilities were cool. But they have deadly side effects. One person went crazy and another died. And anyone who seeks treatment risks being identified by the Faction.
But that secret government agency isn’t the only one looking for us. An evil Altered named Silas is using mind control on other Altereds, trying to bring on an apocalypse, and he’s close to doing it!
Me and my friends are trying to stop him and hide from the Faction. But Silas isn’t a pushover. He kidnapped my family and is using his mind-controlled freaks to catch us. In order to save my family, I’ll have to risk my life and outsmart a madman who wants to make me his sock puppet. And if I fail, everyone I love will die.
