Saber's Pride (Spirits' Valley, #2)

He will do whatever it takes to end the bloodshed in his tribe—even taking a wife.

Raised amidst a vicious chief and treacherous half-brothers, Davor is focused only on trying to save those he loves from his older brother Kamil’s cruelty.

Then he is given the role of rokr, making him second to the battlelion in a war against the rival Greywolf tribe. For the first time, Davor has authority to make changes in the Saber tribe. Slowly, he overcomes his fears and begins to ally with the warriors under him.

When an unexpected blow leaves both the chief and Kamil dead, it is up to Davor to lead their people. Yet he can only become chief if he marries. Marta is as unsure of him as he is about her, but she is committed to turning their tribe from the bloody paths they’ve walked for too long.

Can a man who doesn’t believe in himself and a woman who doesn’t trust him heal a tribe beset by generations of violence?
