The Samhain Terror

In a world healing from nuclear calamity, three fates await men and women found guilty in the court of Alyeskan Law—the Sentinel Service, the Labor Core, or, if the crime is severe enough, death. Johnathon Davies had been found guilty, his life stripped away and sentenced to The Sentinel Service. His task is to watch out for wildfires, hordes of monsters, and other threats to the town of Samhain.

There is plenty for John to be worried about; an unknown terror lurks in the forest around Samhain; protective townsfolk weary of the Sentinels; the nature of his tenure; and the struggles with his demons. John finds himself at the center of hostilities as this unknown terror's activity increases and bodies begin to pile up.

This wasn’t the life he wanted but is there for his taking all the same.
