Murder in Time (Ellie Quicke #15)

One shock pregnancy. One suspicious death. A tricksy killer who stayed hidden for twelve years.

A knock at the door is all it takes to throw Ellie’s household into turmoil.

‘I’m looking for Vera,’ says the haughty stranger on her doorstep.

Ellie is flummoxed at the mention of her beloved housekeeper. Until she remembers. This is the man Vera warned her about. The father of her only son, Mikey.

When Vera fell pregnant, twelve long years ago, he washed his hands of both Vera and the baby. Now he wants to whisk Mikey away to live with him. And should Vera refuse . . .

He has evidence to prove she’s a murderess. That she killed a man on the same fateful night that Mikey was conceived.

Desperate to save Mikey from his father’s clutches — and Vera from the clink — Ellie starts digging into the past.

But is she prepared for what she’ll find . . . ?
