Beyond The Mountain (The Dark Legend Saga, #1)

Maybe some heroes are meant to stay dead…

The all-powerful Hardukai Empire have swept through from the East, devastating the old Kingdom of Arkonia. The Arkonians are now little more than vassals, subject to the rule and whims of their new masters.

Few remembered the catastrophic battle where their greatest hero, Rezak Al-Brega, had been betrayed and mortally wounded. Spirited away to Lyfanya, the sacred mountain, he had never been heard from again. Still, it was prophesied that one day Rezak would return.

Decades passed until, almost forty years later, a lone man stumbles down from the slopes of the Dorchadas mountains. He is confused and disorientated but there is one thing of which he is certain.

His name is Rezak Al-Brega. Rezak the Returned.

An epic fantasy saga of sword and sorcery, for fans of David Gemmell, Joe Abercrombie, Mark Lawrence and Steven Pressfield.
