Heart of Seasons (Colorado Hearts #5)

May has finally arrived and with it, the long-awaited nuptials of Sheriff Clint Dawson to the town mayor, Mavis Fortitude Brinkman Applebee. The rustic mountain settlement is in a stir. Out-of-town guests are arriving. The new San Juan Mountain Resort is finally finished and ready for the big event. Mavis and the rest of the sisters are elated that the wedding will transpire within days, but only wish beloved sister Emma Northcott, Duchess of Ashbury, and living in England, had been able to attend.

Clint Dawson has been waiting for this day for two years. Under his watch, nothing will postpone or disrupt their special day. So, when three gunslingers—armed to the teeth—hole up in the saloon, Clint takes it upon himself to avert trouble before it gets started. The only problem is one desperado knows a few things about the law. If the men aren’t wanted, or haven’t broken any rules, the sheriff has no right to lock them up or run them out.

When news of a diamond heist reaches Eden, Clint wonders if the three unexplained newcomers loitering around town are involved. Digging deeper may cost Clint something more precious to him than his own life.
