The Sweet Side of Summer (Cottonwood Springs #1)

A feel-good, small-town, later-in-life story about starting over.

When Amy Brookfield turned fifty, she thought her future was secure—until her husband’s betrayal left her with a broken marriage and shattered dreams. Forced to start over, Amy returns to Cottonwood Springs, the small Colorado mountain town she once called home, and takes a job at the local tackle store—hardly the life she imagined.

There she meets Mack, the gruff store owner who’s more comfortable with fishing gear than people. He should be the last man to help her rebuild—but this flannel-wearing fisherman might just be her strongest supporter.

Then, as Amy begins to imagine a future she never expected, her ex-husband arrives with an ultimatum that threatens everything she’s rebuilt.

Now Amy must give in to the man who betrayed her—or fight for the life she’s only just begun to claim.

A heartfelt story about starting over, the strength of friendship, and discovering that the sweetest chances often come when you least expect them.
