Intercepting Katie (McKinney Enterprises Seattle #2)

An

overly secretive job, mysterious notes guiding her choices, and a suspicious neighbor are just the beginning, as Katie’s world begins to tilt off its axis.

Katie Willis has been getting by, barely, on her entry-level salary. A condo-sitting gig was an answer to prayer — hot water, a shorter commute, and relief for her strained budget. Its perfection was only slightly marred by the grumpy, suspicious neighbor across the hall.

When Katie’s one true friend shows up beaten and terrified, begging her to quit her job before it’s too late, Katie must choose between survival and pursuing justice for her friend.

Oliver "Ice" Harris, head of security for McKinney Enterprises, is used to protecting those around him, and he isn’t a fan of surprises. With one scream across the hall, he finds himself deeply invested in ensuring Katie’s safety, even if it means using powerful connections.

Amidst grief and danger, quiet shared moments develop a bond between them that cannot be broken.

If you haven’t read Intercepting Sydney, you’ll meet Ward and Sydney here, but you don’t have to read their story first. Both books are low-spice, happily ever after stories of women who overcome trauma and/or adversity and fall in love along the way. While the romance isn't spicy, content warnings may be found on the author's website.
