Sy (Alien Berserkers of Izaea, #2)

She came to build a future for her daughter. She never expected a fierce warrior to fight for them both.

Single mother Ashley Jackson knows taking a construction contract on a distant planet is risky, but the generous pay could finally give her teenage daughter the future she deserves. What she doesn't expect is to find herself surrounded by genetically-modified warrior outcasts or to clash with the fiercely protective warrior assigned to their security. She tells herself she shouldn't find Sy attractive - he's not even human - but she can't seem to look away when he's near. His instinct to shield them from every threat infuriates her, even as his gentle care of her daughter makes her heart melt.

But when enemies target their new home, Ashley must decide if she can trust someone else to help protect what matters most...

His blood made him deadly. Their love makes him fierce.

Being feral marks Sy as dangerous even among his own outcast people. Guarding the human construction crews should be simple, until he meets their leader and her young daughter. Ashley's fierce independence and striking beauty catch him off guard - her golden hair and determined spirit make it hard to focus on his duties when she's nearby. Their trust in him despite his deadly nature awakens protective instincts he never knew he possessed. When they prove they can hold their own against any warrior, he realizes his heart might be the next thing they conquer. But when their enemies threaten from above...

If they can't overcome their differences and learn to trust each other, they'll lose not just their chance at love - but any future together at all.
