At nineteen, we swore that we would weather any storm that came our way. But all it took was one unexpected thunderstorm to show us just how naive we were.

One car accident changed everything. All I wanted was to be there for him, but Greyson refused to let me get close. Refused to even see me. When I showed up to tell him about my pregnancy, I was sent away with a broken heart and a check.

Five years later, he’s back in my life and needs my help.

All it took was one decision in a freak thunderstorm to flip my world upside down. Waking up from surgery and finding out she was gone broke me. From that moment on, playing hockey was the only reprieve I had to stop thinking about her.

Now I’m being told I need to soften my public image to help the team. So, when my teammate suggests I hire help, I decide that will be the easiest choice. Until the very girl who made me like this, walks into the meeting. With a fake dating contract in place, I can get answers and help my image.

The only difference between the past and now, is that the storms come in the forms of uncovered secrets and the lies that got us here.
