Years later, Shadow has become a massive Dagger Mouth — a beast no warrior can command and no enemy can ignore. With him at her side, Nin is no longer the cursed girl they thought they could bury beneath hunger, cruelty, and snow.
She is a survivor.

A living answer to an ancient prophecy.
But as tribes clash and the north is driven toward blood and frost, Nin must decide what she is willing to become to protect the few who stand with her — and whether the girl they called cursed can rise as the queen they were warned would come.
