The Neglected

Alexis Warren is starting over. Still healing from a messy divorce and fresh with grief since the recent passing of her mother, Alexis moves herself and her six-year-old daughter, Maisie to the small town of Camden Falls, Massachusetts faraway from the drama of their previous life.

While settling into their new home, Maisie starts playing with an imaginary friend she calls Libby. Seeing this as a typical adjustment to the move, Alexis humors her daughter’s imagination, believing Maisie will make friends once she goes to her new school.

But when Maisie goes from a kind, outgoing little girl to exhibiting unusual behavior, Alexis is concerned that Libby’s presence is more than just a childhood phase. And soon, what started out as an innocent new playmate turns into something beyond Alexis’ wildest nightmares.
