Till Sudden Death Do Us Part (Granite Ice Hockey)

He shoots. She rolls her eyes. Love might still score.

Koren Roberts
Elijah and I were childhood best friends turned totally lovestruck teens who swore we’d elope the summer after graduation. It was supposed to be forever.
Then came the photos of him with other girls—posted all over social media. And his sudden refusal to talk about our wedding in public? Yeah, I panicked.
So when a mysteriously convenient out-of-the-country internship landed in my lap, I took it.
Oh, and I left on our wedding day.

Elijah Jonas
It’s been a year since Koren left me on our wedding day.
Now we’re both back in a lineup. It’s not hockey—I’m a groomsman. She’s a bridesmaid. Same beach where we fell in love.
Same tangle of feelings we never quite untangled.
As a winger, I’m used to chasing plays, but nothing prepared me for the face off with the girl who once promised me forever. She’s all eye-rolls with not-funny threats of violence with her dinner fork.
Seriously, it looks sharp, and I’m a little afraid.
But amid the chaos of rehearsal dinners and late-night bonfires, the truth about what really happened last summer begins to surface. The chemistry between us hasn’t faded, and I’m starting to think neither of us truly wanted this breakup.

This isn’t just a reunion. It’s a rematch.
And this time, it’s till death do us part.
