The Temporal Divide: A Jack Carter Novel (The Ring of Worlds #4.5)

The Three are gone. Carter is what remains between their family and the world outside the shield.

When Alex, Imara, and Sirenī leave Earth to prepare for the corruption spreading through the Ring of Worlds, Jack Carter expects them back within weeks. They do not return.

Inside the magical barrier protecting Jordan McInerney’s property, Carter becomes the one holding everything together. The manor is safe, their found family is growing, and life inside the shield begins to look almost peaceful.

Beyond the barrier, Earth is changing. Dark magic is spreading. Zalcent International is watching. And Anar Iskariótés, the most powerful man on the planet, knows far more about magic, death, and the Ring of Worlds than anyone should.

As weeks become years, Carter must protect the people the Three left behind, confront threats they are not there to stop, and decide what kind of man he is becoming without the soldiers, orders, and loyalties that once defined him.

Because waiting is not the same as standing still.

The Temporal Divide is a Jack Carter companion novel in The Ring of Worlds, an expansive LGBTQ+ science-fantasy saga of ancient magic, interdimensional danger, diverse heroes, found family, queer devotion, and cosmic consequences. Best read after Descendant of Dragons and before The Occulted Mirror.
