Probably Never (The Never Series Book 1)

One relentless hockey player. One guarded heart. One connection that changes everything.

Axel is relentless.
Luca is guarded.
This was never supposed to happen.

Axel Hughes is used to getting what he wants on and off the ice. Signed to the NHL’s newest expansion team, he has a plan, a purpose, and zero time for distractions.

Then he meets Luca Vaughn and refuses to let him go.

Luca doesn’t do attachments. Not after a childhood in foster care. Not while juggling grad school and two jobs just to stay afloat. The last thing he needs is a stubborn, too-charming hockey player determined to wedge himself into Luca’s carefully controlled life.

But Axel doesn’t back off.

He pushes. He stays. He shows up.

And when Luca loses one of the jobs he depends on, Axel becomes the one person he can’t avoid—and the one person he might not want to.

Lines blur. Walls crack. And what starts as resistance turns into something neither of them can fight.

Because some players don’t quit, and some hearts aren't meant to stay closed.
