The Wolf at Bay (Wolf of Corwick Castle #10)

The triumphant and action-packed 10th book in the bestselling Wolf of Corwick Castle series!

Banished from Ganderland for a year, Lord Hadrack of Corwick is looking forward to some peace and quiet for a change while spending time with his friends in the Land of the Piths. But when Queen Alesia learns that her son and only heir, Einrack, has plans to raid a rival tribe, potentially starting a war, she asks Hadrack for help. The task seems simple enough...take Einrack and some of his over-eager friends on a hunt for three murderous brothers and eliminate them, thus blooding the boys and giving them the taste of adventure they so crave. But for Hadrack, nothing is ever as easy as it first appears. Before he knows it, he finds himself on the run, hunted by a rebellious tribe bent on returning to the nomadic way of life the Piths once knew before the revelations in the codex changed everything.

War, as it always seems to, appears inevitable. Not only must Hadrack fight to survive, but he must also somehow fulfill his vow to Queen Alesia that no harm will come to her son while under his protection. Not an easy task when four thousand bloodthirsty Pith warriors are clamoring for your head.

But this is the Wolf of Corwick Castle, after all, and only a fool would bet against him.
