I Finally Got It: Faith, Family, And Friendship 2 Book Series
Overview
I Finally Got It was first written as a Kindle Vella short story. The book in front of you is an updated and expanded version with extra scenes and enhanced dialogues. Here is a brief introduction to this amazing fictional story inspired by my life growing up.
Most kids dream of getting their license and driving a car. There is something special about driving. It’s part of the American dream, as we grow up. Unfortunately, Joe wasn’t like other teens. He wouldn’t be able to drive until almost 20.
His story has many ups and downs, with lots of family drama. Joe grew up in a small family in Kentucky. After his Mom and Dad divorced, he went to live with his Dad. But life with Dad was not what he expected. His Dad, Rob didn't have the time or money to get a car for Joe or teach him to drive. After an intense argument with his Dad, Joe went to live with his Mom in Birmingham, Alabama. Joe had no idea how crazy life with his mother would become. His Mom, Jane had a great job and a fiancé she and Joe loved. A few months later, she lost it all and was almost homeless. Their family endured a series of bad roommates. But Thank God, a co-worker named Dave and an old friend named Houston helped them get back on their feet.
While this was going on, Joe’s life spiraled out of control. He had a serious alcohol problem. One day Joe met a classmate named Michael who invited him to church. Michael helped Joe get his driver's license as their friendship grew stronger. One night, Joe had an encounter with the Holy Spirit that changed his life and set him free from alcohol.
Through all the hard times, Joe gained more than the freedom to drive. He and his family found faith, hope, and love.
I wrote this fictional series of books to honor the Lord and the people he used to help me and my family get back on our feet. They contain wonderful stories I know you will enjoy.
