The First Dungeon Diving Healer 3 (The First Dungeon Diving Healer #3)

Becoming a local hero isn’t always a good thing.

Kallan Thane spent the last four years in the shadows. His father’s last name was famous, so he went by his mother’s surname to avoid drawing attention to himself. He was blessed with healing magic that he suppressed to keep the adventuring community from taking interest in him. Kallan even applied to become a medical technician in a small town clinic to stay out of the limelight. The plan was solid, right until his name became the talk of the town.

Defeating the end boss of the Misty Fields dungeon was unavoidable since it was the only way to free Caedra. The same could not be said when he defeated the boss of Ranthir, or the Infernal Pits. Every time a dungeon was defeated, two more appeared to take its place, which drew the attention of every adventurer in the region. Kallan’s name was on every tongue in Harth, the exact opposite of his once solid plan.

It wasn’t just the adventurers who took notice of Kallan. Jun’Core, a large, southern guild, sent recruiters to learn more about the man who closed out three dungeons in three weeks. To most adventurers, being sought out by a well-known guild was a dream come true. For Kallan, it was a nightmare. It wasn’t verified, but there were rumors concerning what happened to the other adventurers with the divine class, rumors that suggested they were killed for being too powerful. It could have been a tale twisted over time, but it was a risk Kallan wasn’t willing to take.

Getting rid of the recruiters was bad enough, but a new problem arose to pile onto the rest of his burdens. Dorian Dobb’s mysterious disappearance signaled the bank to demand his loan be paid in full, which fell upon Kallan’s landlord, Madalynn Dobbs, who had become a cherished friend to Kallan. Kallan couldn’t allow the bank to take her home and her only means of income, so he put his own troubles aside long enough to try to bail her out.
