Resisting the Lumberjack

She came to this town for a boring, predictable life. Then autumn blew in, and so did he.

I didn't mean to steal her sandwich.
Okay. Maybe I did.

In my defense, I've been coming into Sal's Deli three times a week for four years. I hold doors. I tip generously. I ask about people's grandkids by name. Sal slid the last turkey club across the counter with a wink — and I took it.

Then I turned around and saw her. Dark hair. Sharp eyes. The kind of mouth that was about to ruin my whole damn autumn.

I offered to split it. She told me I could shove it somewhere warm.

Selene. New in town. Eight years older than me and wearing it like a warning label telling this lumberjack not to get any ideas.

Too late.

She’s resisting me. Says I'm too young. Too easy. Too much.
But every time the wind kicks up and the pines bend, she leans a little closer to me.
And something tells me, by the time the last pumpkin's carved and the bonfire burns low, she won't be resisting this charming lumberjack for much longer.

Resisting the Lumberjack is a spicy reverse-age-gap, small-town romance featuring a golden retriever lumberjack with a stubborn streak and an axe to grind, the older woman who thought she wanted boring, and the kind of autumn heat that'll have you reaching for a flannel and a fan. Part of the Pumpkins & Pine multi-author series. Standalone with a guaranteed HEA.
