Ridge of Betrayal

Two couples, one summit, four up, three down...

It’s Halloween and two independent couples prepare to scale Blencathra's infamous Sharp Edge. Adrenaline-charged and trauma-laden, they set off for the ultimate mountain ridge walk.

Though Monika and Tabatha are unacquainted, both women harbour the same fiery ambition to conquer the summit with the company of their partners, Ralph and Sebastian.

A thick clag descends leaving deviant obsessions to resurface and despite dizzying heights, the terrifying glory of Lakeland will not dissuade the duos. Echoes from a cruel and violating past torment – tolerances are tested and outrageous secrets are revealed.

Desolation brings out the darkest corners of human nature, and betrayal looms from every crag and cairn – one thing is certain, the fells don’t forgive.

Ridge of Betrayal is an unsettling, intense, psychological thriller. The story contains mature, sensitive and potentially deeply distressing themes including murder, abuse, sexual assault, graphic violence, self harm and suicide.
