Tigris (Dark Eagle, #12)

TIGRIS Dark Eagle XII

46 AD. Parthia.

Beyond the two great rivers lies the country Rome is loath to speak of. A country of dust and silence, where empires older than Rome lie buried beneath the sand. A country whose secrets have never crossed the Euphrates.

Until now.

In the depths of winter, on the wharf at Antioch, a man arrives from beyond the rivers carrying a ring he should not possess. A treasure not valued in gold or coin, but in the blood of ten thousand men.

In Rome, Lepidus reads the report and immediately understands that if it is true, a silence Rome has carried for a hundred years is about to be broken.

Armed with an astonishing tale and a mission that will carry them farther beyond the safety of Roman lines than they have ever been, the Occultum ride east knowing that this time, they may not come back.
