Her Best Student: A Steamy Sapphic Age-Gap Romance

She was supposed to be just a teacher. I was supposed to be just a student. But every time she tells me I’ve done well, I crave more.

Lena Cross is starving for validation. Floundering in her twenties and scraping by, she signs up for piano lessons on a whim, looking for some kind of discipline. What she finds is Elise Ward.

Elise is a former concert pianist—impeccable, untouchable, and freezing cold. She demands absolute perfection. She corrects Lena’s posture, controls her tempo, and commands her absolute submission to the music.

But beneath the ice-queen exterior, Elise is hiding a deeply repressed hunger of her own. As the lessons intensify, the tension on the piano bench thickens. A brush of fingers, a harsh correction, a soft murmur of very good—it’s intoxicating. Soon, Lena isn’t just playing to learn; she’s playing to unravel the tightly wound woman sitting next to her.

When the boundaries finally snap, the music stops, and the real instruction begins. But Elise is terrified of losing control, and Lena refuses to be just another fleeting mistake. To make this work, they’ll both have to risk shattering the perfect lives they’ve constructed.
