Fragile Ascension (House of Gray, #6)

Four years dead, and still the last to know.
Everyone who loves Amy Davenport has decided what she's strong enough to hear.
She has always known her father's memory of her was sealed. Nobody told her a seal decays, that this one was redone once already, or that no date for reunion was ever coming. She hears it from a stranger—a High Council liaison who has already sat in his living room and given him the truth Amy wasn't allowed to. Nic has had a man watching that door for months. He calls it protection.
Amy has made the same call herself. Lola never learned what she was, because Amy decided the knowing would break her. Now Lola has torn through the estate wallpaper with claws she doesn't remember growing and vanished, and the doctor treating her is dead, drained on his own kitchen floor.
Then Nic's father, whose mind the Serpents took apart, gives up the piece they buried deepest. They never wanted her island. They wanted Amy, and they knew what she was long before she did.
