Pucking The Goalie

NOVA

Never let a goalie between your thighs unless you’re ready for him to ruin every defense you have left...

Jax Mercer is supposed to be my story.

Instead, the NHL’s golden-boy goalie becomes my biggest problem.

He’s all sunshine, steady hands, and protective charm wrapped in a body no professional journalist should be imagining naked.

And I can’t stop.

One hotel room. One bed. One off-limits goalie I’m supposed to cover.

Wanting him is reckless, unethical, and absolutely not happening.

At least, that’s what I keep telling myself.

But Jax has an infuriating way of slipping past every boundary I put between us.

He looks at me like I’m worth keeping and protects me with a quiet patience that should make me run.

Instead, it makes me want things I stopped believing were meant for me.

Now the playoffs are heating up, and the secret I’ve spent years outrunning is closing in.

When he finds out who I really am, I might lose the only man who’s ever made me want to stay.

JAX

She’s all sharp edges, smart mouth, and locked doors.

She thinks the truth will make me walk away.

She’s wrong.

Because once I decide someone is worth protecting, I don’t let go.
