Bordered In Betrayal (Alex Allin #1)

A forgotten quilt. A fatal fall. A mountain town stitched with secrets.

When quilt-shop owner Alex Allin agrees to clear the attic of Aspen Ridge’s historic inn, she expects dust and forgotten fabric. Instead, she and her clever cavapoo, Saedie, uncover a cryptic quilt, a hidden box, and evidence that a local antique dealer’s fatal fall was no accident.

With help from Aspen Ridge’s tea-fueled Granny Squad, Alex follows the quilt’s wandering stitches into a past someone has worked hard to bury. Old grudges and guarded secrets surround the inn, but the most troubling clues point toward disputed land—and a multimillion-dollar deal that could reshape the mountain town forever.

Then survey stakes appear on the ridge. A threat lands on Alex’s doorstep. And someone begins watching her every move.

If Alex can’t decode the quilt’s message in time, a killer may ensure its secrets—and Alex—are buried for good.
