Interior: Ex Tenebris
Overview
There are things we carry that we never name.
INTERIOR is a poetry collection that maps fifteen of them grief, anger, depression, denial, guilt, shame, regret, paranoia, resentment, obsession, loneliness, helplessness, despair, betrayal, and death all through the lens of cosmic horror and religious theological metaphors. Each poem acts as its own living, ancient thing all the while interconnected. Predating us and outlasting us and having absolutely no interest in whether we survive them.
Each of these poems were written on a typewriter. Every draft printed, marked up in red, and retyped until it earned its place. Because the emotions in this collection don't have an undo button and neither should the process of writing them.
INTERIOR is not a comfortable read. It was never meant to be. It is an honest one.
