The Pumpkin Pie Promise

Sometimes the sweetest surprises come with pie.Amber Bennett has built a perfectly comfortable life in Millwood Creek. She has her little house, her freelance career, her beloved pumpkin pies—and absolutely no plans to fall in love again.

Then Mrs. Whitaker dies.

And leaves her great-nephew, Ben Hart, one final Ask the pie lady to dinner.

For five years, Ben Hart has been little more than the quiet man who buys her pumpkin pie every Saturday. He’s reserved, handsome, and unexpectedly funny, and now that she’s getting to know him, Amber is discovering just how much she likes him. One dinner becomes two. Then a handwritten recipe, lingering touches, unexpected laughter, and a growing feeling that maybe the life she built for herself is missing something.

But Amber has spent years unwilling to give someone else control over her future. Falling for Ben means risking the carefully independent life she’s built for herself.

As autumn settles over Millwood Creek, Amber must decide whether letting someone into her carefully protected life means giving something up—or finally getting the ordinary love story she never thought she needed.
