The Sixpenny Tiger

When Sally Golding achieves the job of her dreams to work in a children's home, she becomes particularly attached to a small boy called Davey. A few years later, Davey's housemother marries his father and he and his younger brother go home to live. Davey's stepmother treats him very badly and after a particularly bad episode involving his uncle, Davey runs away to try to find Sally, who is now an abandoned wife and mother to a little girl. This is a story of the power of love and forgiveness.
