Apple Pie a la Murder (Cozy Baked Mystery #1)

Ever decide to do a good deed and it ends up making people suspect you of murder? No? Just me, then?

Allie finds herself entangled in a web of suspicion, all thanks to her best friend, Lucy Gray. Lucy’s well-meaning advice to have Allie’s homemade pies featured in Henry Hoffer’s restaurant takes a dark turn when Henry dies under mysterious circumstances right after tasting Allie’s apple pie. Despite her innocence, the cloud of guilt hovers over her.

Complicating matters is the recent appointment of a new detective by the police chief. Described as tall, dark, and irresistibly handsome, he is equally relentless in his pursuit of justice. With his eye set on Allie as the prime suspect, the stakes have never been higher.

As the investigation unfolds, Allie and Lucy are thrust into a race against time to find the real perpetrator. An unflattering orange prison jumpsuit threatens to become Allie’s new reality—she must prove her innocence before it’s too late. Can Allie clear her name, or will the true killer remain at large, leaving her to face the consequences?
