The Salix Arcanum

Seeking an escape from his claustrophobic urban existence, and haunted by troubling dreams, a prominent London artist travels to the remote village of Whitcombe, intending to pass the summer sketching and exploring the neighbouring countryside. Walking the hidden paths amongst the reed beds, surrendering himself to tranquillity, he stumbles upon a medieval chapel in the marshes of West-Sedgemoor, forlorn, and seemingly forgotten. Drawn back there, day after day, unable to resist the call of the ancient sanctuary, he finds himself lost in a mysterious reverie, ensnared by an incomprehensible power – The Salix Arcanum.
