Blood Lust (The Vampire Defense Agency #1)

Kyrdavian Ru has a helluva lot on his plate. As leader of the Vampire Defense Agency’s elite ground team, he’s got the demon threat to contend with on a nightly basis—but that’s nothing new. Even enduring the hateful machinations of his (sort of) stepmother, queen of the vampire race, barely breaks his stride. But a traitor at the VDA betraying vampire females into the hands of a demon lord? Now that’s a problem.

Jodari Os, Director of the VDA, wants to know what the hell is wrong with Kyr and his ground team. They’ve never been warm and fuzzy, but something’s turned them downright hostile. And since Kyr isn’t exactly an open book, getting answers might just require rather…drastic measures.

Mira Jensen doesn’t know why she’s been called in to do psych evals on five vampire warriors, but she owes Director Os a favor. He did, after all, save her life when a long-ago incident awakened her dormant vampire genes, thrusting her into a world she could never have imagined. She’s made her peace with it. Kind of. Mostly. She gets by, in any case—until a standard psych eval takes a very personal turn.

Kyr and Mira both have plenty of reasons not to act on their attraction. Trust. Control. A teensy bit of baggage. But some things are worth baring your throat for…
