The Widow's Surprise (Spring Mail Order Brides)

After having her heart broken once already, Sadie Moulten is not ready to take any more chances. Instead of trusting a man to honour his proposal in the traditional way, she will instead become a mail-order bride and go about the business of marriage in a more considered manner. So after choosing a man with a young daughter from the town of Angel, Kansas, Sadie sets out to start her new life on the western frontier as the wife of Peter Cleary.

However, the trials are not yet over for Sadie. Because almost as soon as she is married, she finds herself suddenly widowed and with a small child to care for. And so, her world now in a whirl, Sadie has married again to her late husband’s cousin, Dr George Cleary. Dr Cleary is a very different man from Peter. He certainly did not expect to be welcoming a child into his home—nor did he expect a new wife.

But sometimes, fate sends us on paths that lead to happiness we never imagined.
