Murder of Innocence (Ellie Quicke #3)

Meet Ellie Quicke. Devoted cat lady, tea addict, recent widow — and now amateur sleuth!

Murder can happen anywhere. Even just a few doors down . . .

Widow Ellie is still adjusting to life without her domineering husband Frank. And she could do without the constant demands of her friends and relatives, thank you very much . From Timid Timothy the pastor to cantankerous old Aunt Drusilla and Midge, the judgmental ginger tom.

At times, Ellie wishes they’d all just disappear . Then Tod, the dear young boy who lives next door, does exactly that .

Ellie is terribly fond of Tod — her one true friend in all the street — and she’ll do whatever it takes to bring him home to his mum.

She starts digging around for clues, desperate to give the police a helping hand.

Ellie thought she was safe as houses — in her own leafy corner of respectable old Ealing. But one of her neighbours is hiding a dark secret . . .

Can she find Tod before it’s too late?
